Overview
Severity: MEDIUM | Affected: SecureAI Foundation | Category: tool
The SecureAI Foundation has released a major update to its open-source tool, LLMGuard, a firewall designed to protect applications built on large language models. Version 2.0 introduces a suite of powerful new features to combat emerging threats. A key addition is a semantic detection engine that goes beyond simple keyword filtering to identify and block complex prompt injection and jailbreaking attempts. The new version also includes a real-time output scanner that uses named entity recognition (NER) to prevent the leakage of sensitive data like API keys, PII, or financial information. LLMGuard v2.0 provides pre-built integrations for popular frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex, aiming to provide developers with an easy-to-deploy, robust defensive layer against common LLM vulnerabilities and lower the barrier to building secure AI systems.
